Guido Pella kept alive his hopes of finishing the year-end top 100 as he came from behind to defeat Nicolás Barrientos (325°), 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in Bogotá's Challenger first round.
Pella did not play well in first set, where only played a 38% with his first service, and the Colombian player won with only a break.
The 23 years old player returned in the second set a stronger force. He broke for a 2-0 lead and level the match with another break in the eighth game.
