Pella comes from behind to defeat Barrientos

   Guido Pella kept alive his hopes of finishing the year-end top 100 as he came from behind to defeat Nicolás Barrientos (325°), 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in Bogotá's Challenger first round.

    Pella did not play well in first set, where only played a 38% with his first service, and the Colombian player won with only a break.

     The 23 years old player returned in the second set a stronger force. He broke for a 2-0 lead and level the match with another break in the eighth game.

   The sixth seed achieve an early break in the third set, but Barrientos responded to tied the match again. The fourth and definitive break came again in the eighth game. Then Pella won his service game and took the victory after one hour and 48 minutes.

   On Thursday, the lefty player will face Argentinian Facundo Bagnis (140°), who beat Colombian Carlos Salamanca (261°).
