Guido Pella increased to eight his streak of consecutive wins, beating Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (287°) in Sao Jose do Rio Preto's Challenger quarter-finals.
Pella kept focused to use five of six break opportunities to defeat local young gun in one hour and one minute.
The 23 years old player, who won San Pablo´s Challenger last week, will face Colombian Alejandro González (113), who defeated Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva, 6-2, 6-3.
Pella dominate the head to head against González with a tight victory 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 in 2012 Pereira's Challenger (Colombia) first round.
