Guido Pella won his first title of the year (fifth on his career) on Sunday with a crushing victory over Argentinian Facundo Argüello in San Pablo's Challenger final.
The 23 years old player needed just 55 minutes to beat Argüello (168°). The fourth seeded hit six of his seven breaks opportunities and showed solid in the background making pressure over Arguello's backhand.
With this victory, Pella will come back to the top 100 in ATP ranking. However, he must defend 166 points until year end to retain that position.
In doubles main draw, Guido and Peruvian Sergio Galdos, lost the final against Artem Sitak (New Zeland) and Roman Borvanov, (Moldavia), 6-4, 7-6 (3).
Next week, Pella will play in Sao Jose do Rio Preto. In first round he will face Venezuelan David Souto (241°). Then, he will participate in Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Guayaquil Challengers.
