Guido Pella cruised into Sao Jose do Rio Preto's Challenger quarterfinals with a victory 6-3, 6-1 over Brazilian Thales Turini (418°).
The player borned in Bahía Blanca won 72 per cent of his service points and broke qualifier Turini five times to advance in 52 minutes.
On Friday, the third seed will face Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (287°), who made a surprise defeating Brazilian Guilherme Clezar (180° and seventh seed), 4-6, 7-5, 7-5.
Pella and Monteiro clashed last week in San Pablo's Challenger quarterfinals and the 23 years old player triumphed 6-1, 6-1 in 48 minutes. Then Guido get the crown in that tournament.
