Guido Pella crushed Thiago Monteiro to book a place into San Pablo's Challenger semifinals.
The 23 year-old player needed just 48 minutes to beat the Brazilian young gun 6-1, 6-1. Tomorrow, to reach the tournament final Pella must defeat the Portuguese Pedro Sousa who has eliminated Croatian Antonio Veic (6-2, 6-1).
Guido hit five of six in breaks opportunities and completed the game by winning an 80% with his first service and a 54% with his second service. He showed his best version in the second set, where he didn't lose any points with his service.
The head to head between Pella and Sousa favors 2-1 to the player borned in Bahía Blanca.
In addition, Pella reached semifinals in doubles main draw. With Peruvian Sergio Galdos, defeated 6-2, 6-4 Brazilians Leonardo Kirche and Ricardo Hocevar.
