Not an easy start

The draw for the US Open is out: Guido Pella’s first-round opponent is American Sam Querrey (29°), an specialist on hard courts.

For Pella, World No 94, will be the first match against Querrey, a 25-years-old player, borned in San Francisco, and owner of a powerful serve and forehand.

Last week, Pella reached second round in Winston Salem Open. He defeated Argentinian Leonardo Mayer and was eliminated by Frenchman Gael Monfils. Meanwhile, Querrey got to semifinals in the same tournament, losing against Austrian Jurgen Melzer.

The winner of this match will face Argentinian Horacio Zeballos or Frenchman Adrian Mannarino.
