Pella was untroubled in his Porto Alegre Challenger first round, defeating Venezuelan David Souto (240°), 6-1, 6-3.

The 23 years old player hits two aces and achieved seven breaks to got the victory in an hour and 9 minutes.

Pella next will challenge Brazilian Andre Ghem (205°), who dismissed Dominican Victor Estrella, 6-2, 6-1.

Last week, in Campinas, Pella defeated Ghem 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 in second round.

Instead, in doubles main draw, Pella and Peruvian Sergio Galdos were eliminated by Brazilian Fabricio Neis and Portuguese Pedro Souza, 6-0, 4-6, 10-6.
