After struggling for nearly an hour against the powerful right hands of Spanish Nicolas Almagro, the bahiense Guido Pella took leave of the ATP Buenos Aires. Pella lost to world No. 11 markers 6-3, 6-2 and was eliminated in his debut.
After starting 0-2, the southpaw used his only chance to break the whole game and then held his serve for the first time to balance (2-2). However, Almagro was angry, snapped at 30 in the eighth game, pure and winning shot to put the bow opening set (6-3).
In the third game of the second set, Guido refused to give their service easily. However, the decision of the Iberian broke down and finalized the break in his third chance. He began his streak of four consecutive games (5-1) that gave rise to the bump.
Anyway and beyond the experience gained, the bahiense received a souvenir: "Guido is the present and the future of Argentine tennis," said Spanish himself before the microphones of television which broadcast the live action.
